ABOUT CHRISTIANA

My job is to help you make progress in the right direction. ♡

This is what I love most about working with introspective people:

They value authenticity and are deep thinkers who like to examine how they navigate the world. They are unique, resourceful, and enjoy mapping out their next steps. They value both their intuition and analytical thinking when making tough decisions and wholeheartedly take chances when it feels right. They are passionate, and most of all, they want to connect, share their ideas, what brings them joy and strive to create a positive impact for themselves and those around them.

These are the people I work with. ♡ And my goal is to help these people - people like you - get clear with what they want, create positive habits and personal systems that enable them to accomplish what matters most to them.

Want to know more about me?

I'm Christiana Findley. I'm a trained and certified coach. I work with people all around the globe as they strive to create the life they want of greater fulfillment, freedom, and a positive impact for themselves and those around them.

My former years in education and the Arts have helped shape my passion for helping others accomplish meaningful goals that positively influence the world. I am a fan of balanced approaches and work to be the support others need so that they can lean into what they really want, get out of indecision, take action and build their self-trust again.

I believe when we get to live a life where we are actively making choices, feeling satisfied more often than not, and filling our cup with meaningful experiences, we are happier, more compassionate, and kinder people. In my mind, this makes our world a much brighter place and it’s because of that reason, helping others build the life they want by stepping into their autonomy and self-leadership has become my mission.

Background

Before stepping into the world of coaching I received my degree in the Arts and was in education for about a decade. I loved teaching. Connecting with students, watching their eyes light up as they improved in their technical skills, and their ability to express themselves felt priceless.

I was happy and fulfilled until I realized I wanted to do more.

My breakthrough moment that led me into the coaching world, and ultimately coaching people with their personal systems, was the day I was helping a colleague with their classroom management. We were going over how things were turning out since our last conversation. I remember her saying something along the lines of “I’ve been in the classroom for nine years and I can’t believe that this is working, but it is!” We talked about how her overall anxiety had subsided and how pleased she was with her results. We continued to work on her systems and by the end of the year, she was in a better place emotionally and mentally. She even had the energy to start to exercise again.

Systems, routines, positive habits, and having the right mindset/attitude to help us in our everyday life is powerful. I knew this and had successfully implemented my version of it for myself (thanks to the help of my then therapist and my coach), but didn’t think about helping others design and implement these things for themselves until that day.

Years later I received my coaching certification, opened up a practice, and have since added countless hours of coaching under my belt. I continue to learn, up-level my skills, and grow (operating from a growth mindset is important to me). With this experience, I have come to not only love helping teachers create positive change in their lives, but also people that are introspective, intuitive, and have a desire to share something meaningful with the world- creative thinkers like you.

And if I may ♡, I’d like to be clear about one thing: I’m a coach. I am not a therapist, counselor, or mentor.

I will not tell you what I think you should do or dictate a cookie-cutter strategy, nor am I qualified to diagnose or tell you what you need.

I wholeheartedly believe that you are the expert of you. ♡

As a coach, I am trained to guide and ask the right questions so that you can uncover what you know will serve you best and shine a light on who you aim to be. I help you untangle and organize those thoughts, critically think, and explore different frameworks that may aid you in your goals. In our sessions, we will brainstorm action plans and personal strategies that align with your values for this particular season of life, and recalibrate when needed as we move forward.

Together we will:

  • Become clear about where you’re at and where you want to go (goals/mindset/etc.)

  • Create everyday habits and routines that help support your progress getting there.

  • Take action, gain momentum, and get back on track to accomplish what’s meaningful to you.

More about me

Here are some fun facts! ♡

  1. I am in LOVE with Brené Brown. Total fangirl of her work! ♡ I also enjoy the works of: Adam Grant, James Clear, Peter Shallard, Harriet Lerner, Mark Manson, Lisa Olivera, and the list goes on.

  2. I am very much an introvert. I type as an INFJ and an Enneagram 9 (for all you typology folks out there!). Most people are pretty surprised to learn that I’m introverted and in fact a bit shy! I definitely need a good amount of alone time to recharge.

  3. I received my coaching certification from Certified Life Coach Institute - an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited school. I am currently working on my earning my ACC credential.

  4. For all you teachers reading this, I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. I went through an alternative certification process (received my bachelor’s degree in Art) and definitely had a tough time with classroom management my first few years in that career (which I’m surprisingly grateful for)! Those days definitely helped me build grounded confidence in myself and served as my playing ground as I honed in on what makes systems effective and sustainable (even if I did find myself scavenging for pencils off the floor more often than I’d like to admit!)

  5. I was a musician way back when (literally decades ago), have played hundreds of live shows, and toured the southeastern coast of the United States. THANKFULLY my days as the emo queen have been put to rest!

  6. My favorite workouts involve any kind of martial arts. I’m not impressive by any means, but I LOVE that feeling of being present in my body and focusing on form, stamina, and (most importantly) not getting hit in the face!

  7. I am a drawer at heart. Lately, my creative outlets have taken the form of writing, photography, and simple journal sketching. Currently, creating small cross-hatched sketches seems to be scratching my creative itch!

  8. I am in love with what I do. I’m always reading or have a podcast/audiobook going that pertains to learning more about my craft, new research, and developments.♡
